Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using SYZYG (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Service Description

SYZYG is a market intelligence and research software platform that provides:

  • • Market analysis and quantitative research outputs
  • • Options flow and derivatives analytics
  • • Sentiment and social velocity tracking
  • • Technical and quantitative indicators

The Service is provided for informational and educational purposes only.

3. Not Financial Advice

IMPORTANT: SYZYG is NOT a registered investment advisor, broker-dealer, or financial planner. The information provided through the Service does not constitute investment advice, financial advice, trading advice, or any other sort of advice. You should not treat any of the Service's content as such.

You acknowledge that:

  • • All investment and trading decisions are made solely by you
  • • Past performance does not guarantee future results
  • • Trading and investing involve substantial risk of loss
  • • You may lose more than your initial investment
  • • You should consult a licensed financial advisor before making investment decisions

4. Governance Framework & Safe Mode

SYZYG operates under a governance framework designed to ensure output quality and user protection:

L0 Contract

Our outputs are gated by freshness, coverage, and integrity requirements. When data quality falls below defined thresholds, the system automatically adjusts outputs.

Safe Mode

When the L0 Contract requirements are not met, the system enters "Safe Mode" and outputs are neutralized. This is a protective feature, not a service disruption. Safe Mode activations do not entitle users to refunds or service credits.

RDL (Rules Definition Language)

Our analysis follows deterministic rules that are auditable and versioned. We publish our methodology and governance versions publicly.

5. Subscription & Payment

  • • Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis
  • • Prices are subject to change with 30 days notice
  • • You authorize us to charge your payment method for recurring fees
  • • Failure to pay may result in service suspension
  • • See our Refund Policy for cancellation terms

6. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

  • • Redistribute, resell, or share your subscription access
  • • Scrape, crawl, or automatically collect data from the Service
  • • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract our algorithms or data sources
  • • Use the Service for any illegal purpose
  • • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
  • • Misrepresent SYZYG outputs as your own original analysis

7. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the Service—including but not limited to algorithms, methodology, RDL framework, user interface, and documentation—are owned by SYZYG and protected by intellectual property laws.

8. Data & Privacy

Your use of the Service is subject to our Privacy Policy. We collect and process data as described therein.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT OUTPUTS WILL BE ACCURATE OR PROFITABLE. ALL DECISIONS ARE MADE SOLELY AT YOUR OWN RISK.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SYZYG AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • • Trading or investment losses
  • • Loss of profits, data, or goodwill
  • • Cost of substitute services
  • • Any damages arising from your reliance on the Service

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SYZYG and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

13. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or prominent notice on the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
